7s Rugby Touch

7s Rugby Touch is an exciting sport program designed by Ready Rugby for children not involved in PSSA sport or for schools looking for a fun program to add to their sports options. 7s Rugby Touch is a non-contact program aimed at teaching kids the basics of rugby through fun games.

The children rotate through a series of skill and games stations and a non-contact game of 7-a-side touch rugby (suitable for both boys and girls) to get the full benefit of learning rugby skills, other sporting skills and the benefit of team bonding. The program is designed to fit into your existing sporting program needs and again is at the low cost of $8 per session.

Each week the children are re-organised into different teams to promote team work and communication. All game stations are designed to teach 3 learning points and maximise player participation. The 7s Rugby Touch game is designed to reflect Rugby Union, involving 3 man line outs, 3 man non-contested scrums and free kicking.

Teams are chosen every week allowing players to play with different teams mates every week, which reduces the competitive aspect of sport. A player on a loosing team may well be on the winning team next week.

The benefits to the school are massive, bringing team spirit and sportsmanship. Developing physical and social awareness in a safe environment. Enabling teachers to concentrate on other duties. Sessions can be done during or after school hours. Ready Rugby will provide all the equipment

Overall 7s Rugby Touch is designed for maximum fun and learning. It's easy for the school staff as the program is self sufficient and the coaches run everything.
